Rebecca and Kacey Schopbach Build a Forever Family
"My name is Rebecca Schopbach and I am the proud single mother of a 2 year old little girl, Kacey. She was thought to have speech and motor delays related to inutereo drug exposure. Kacey was 19 months old at the time. She rocked and banged her head for comfort. She walked with an unsteady and strange gait; doctors even suspected that she had one leg shorter than the other. She was only saying a few words."
"It is now seven months later; Kacey is a happy healthy little girl with no signs of either speech or motor delays. She chatters a mile a minute and I cannot run fast enough to catch her most of the time. She does not become agitated nearly as often as she once did. She formed an attachment with me right away and does not exhibit any signs of anxiety or attachment issues. My parents and family are absolutely in love with her and she loves the attention with which they shower her. We see her foster family often and have all become one big family."
