Wal-Mart Foundation Funds Medical Care for Children in Need
The Child Crisis Center, an emergency shelter for abused children was the fortunate recipient of a $95,000 grant from the Wal-Mart Foundation this November. This incredibly generous gift will fund 6 months of medical care costs for the children that find themselves staying at the Child Crisis Center. Far too often, children arrive at the shelter after experiencing situations that have taken immense physical, emotional and mental tolls on their well-being. With the generous assistance of the Wal-Mart Foundation, children seeking love and safety at the Child Crisis Center will begin to heal physically, allowing for further security and happiness in their futures.
