Construction on the New Family Resource Center is Underway!
The best way to prevent child maltreatment is to provide parents with the skills, resources, and supports they need.
-National Clearinghouse on Child Abuse & Neglect Information

- Prevention education and support of parents is the most important factor in eliminating child abuse and neglect.
- A new facility for the Family Resource Center (FRC) on the corner of Country Club Drive and 8th Street in Mesa, will help alleviate the long waiting lists that exist for the parenting classes that are currently offered at the FRC.
- Thousands of local families will benefit from this new facility, which will house educational classes, a permanent resource library, and a myriad of family and children's counseling services.
- Services are slated to begin operations at this location in January of 2008.
- The capital campaign to fund this project, “Breaking Ground to Build Stronger Families” has to date raised $5.3 million.
- Included in this expansion is a renovation of the Center's current children's residential emergency shelter.
