A Call to Action Operation Family Support started in the spring of 2007 when two colleagues began chatting about the challenges one of them was having due to her husband being deployed to Afghanistan. As a result, she was single parenting, working full time, and trying to handle family life which used to be shared by two. These conversations led to a community Call to Action answered by the Child Crisis Center and more than a dozen collaborating agencies and concerned individuals statewide.

Military families have unique needs The work of Operation Family Support (OFS) in the community has two goals that will be met by training and engaging others:
1. Educate the community to increase awareness, sensitivity to and knowledge of the unique needs of military families.
2. Engage the community in building a full continuum network which addresses the needs of military families on an individual, community, and systemic level.
If you or your organization would like to collaborate with the FRC on any military family support efforts, please contact Carol Lopinski at 480.834.9424.
