Abuse in Public?
If the child is being harmed, get the store manager to assist the parent or call police.
Divert the parent’s attention from the child.
Strike up a conversation with the parent. Say things like “He seems to be trying your patience.” “It looks like you’ve both had a long day”
Sympathize with the parent.
DO NOT give dirty looks or make snide comments as these may only make matters worse.

Dads, we have a discussion group for you!
The Family Resource Center would like to invite Father's to join in our drop-in Dad's discussion groups. These groups are designed for men raising children that want to discuss and share ideas about parenting. Come on downa nd join in the discussion as well as hear many other father's speak about different situations.

4th Wednesday of the Month

A.L.E.R.T. stands for "Always Let Experts Respond Timely". Alert Recall is a community call to action for students and schools to report any cases of bullying, abuse, gangs, theft, vandalism, or other harmful activities. This program is designed to empower students to report any cases timely and annonymously.
